One more day and the crew from Eville will be here in Qtown!!
I am so freakin excited that all of my friends are finally :) coming to visit me!! And it is for New Year's Eve, what better time?!
Peppers, Jason, Steph and WIll and Hanselman and possibly his new woman are all coming up. We are going to have a great, drunken, happy friend time!! I can't wait! :)

So much fun....

I had a great time in St. Louis friday nite!!
The stripper class wasn't quite as fun as it was the first time. The other teacher was better. However, the class was definitely harder! I am still sore! I think if I was ever in desperate need for some money I could definitely get a job as a stripper. I was the only one that could do half the moves we were learning on the pole. However, I do not know if that is a good thing or not!! :)
The limo afterwards was a blast too. We pretty much just drove around all nite and occasionally stopped at a bar here and there. But I think we had more fun in the limo!
Christmas at the Schmidts' the next day was a little rough but still very exciting, and loud! :) I had to drive back that nite to work at the bar, not fun! And we didn't even end up being busy, so that really sucked!

Only a couple more days til Christmas... I can't believe it! It sure doesn't feel like it....

STL Bound

The weather knew better than to ruin my evening!! I am headed to STL here in a few hours, can't wait!!!
Hopefully the weather stays good, at least til I get there! Then it doesn't matter b/c we will be cruisin' in the limo all nite! :)

Ughh

I am so ready for the holidays to be over! I am getting worn out.
The bar xmas party was a blast! A little too much fun for a Wednesday nite though. I must have gotten a little confused and thought it was Saturday b/c i sure hit it hard. And I am feeling it today.
We were really busy and all the employees had a great time. We all exchanged gifts and gave my parents theirs, it was a good time. (what I remember) :)

Tomorrow nite is girls nite!!!! I hope this freezing rain doesn't get too bad and screw up my trip to STL tomorrow! It is going to be a crazy nite with all my girls. We start off at Traci's on Wash. Ave, head to stripper class around 8 then it is partying in the limo til 3am!! Hopefully we last that long! We got upgraded to the hummer limo for free so it is going to be a blast!
Schmidt christmas in Carrollton the next day is going to be a little rough! :)

State St. Xmas Party!!

Tonite is the christmas party at the bar. It is the employee xmas party, as well as one for all the customers. This will be the first one that I have attended, but I have heard that it is pretty fun! There is food, karaoke and lots of drinking :)

The only bad thing is..... I have to open the Park Bench at 6:30 tomorrow morning :( We'll see how that goes! If we get all of this ice that we are supposed to be getting I don't think I will have to worry about having too many customers tomorrow!!

Shopping Success....Kind of

My mom and I had a great weekend in STL! We also got a lot of shopping done, however, most of the shopping I did was for myself rather than xmas presents! That is quite alright though! I was in desperate need of some new clothes. I got some really cute stuff and it seemed like some of the stores were practically giving the stuff away!!
The Rockettes were awesome, I expected nothing less. However, we did miss the first 15 minutes of the show b/c we spent to much time at the mall, oops! :) Then my mom was suprized to find out that it was the exact same show that we had already seen. I knew that! So I guess it was ok that we missed some of it!
After the show we had to make an emergency stop at Ann Taylor Loft, I got a run in my tights, go figure! Got some super cute stuff there too! Then had dinner at Magianno's, yum!
Later that nite we met up with the Eville crew at Amsterdam Tavern where Hanselman was djing. It was great to see them, wish we could have hung out longer! But we had a long day of shopping ahead of us, so we had to head back.
Got a lot done on Sunday and made it back right before the really bad weather hit!

Looking forward to this week. Park Bench xmas party tonite, then the bar xmas party on Wed., I'm sure that one will be a little crazier then the one tonite! :)

23 Days and Counting!

Only 23 more days til we leave for our cruise!!! I was just thinking this morning, how in less than a month instead of waking up and getting ready for work (which I did at 5:30 this morning) I will be getting up, putting my swimsuit on and going to lay by the pool and drink cocktails full of fruit and little umbrellas! :)

So much to do before then though, which only means that the time will go by that much faster!! B/c the crew from Eville is coming to party with me!!! Peppers' and Jason are headed north for New Year's to party in Q-town, it's about time!! I am so excited! :)

Update** I just got internet hooked up at my house!! THANK GOD!!! :)

We had a slow start to our week here at the Park Bench, not much business yesterday. Hopefully things will pick up today, but the weather is not helping out too much.
Got a phone call this morning from someone informing me that the bar was not open! Our opening bartender never showed up, who is also the lunch waitress here at the Park Bench, guess who has to fill in?!

Looking forward to this weekend! My mom and I are having in girls weekend in STL. We are going to the Rockettes at the Fox on Saturday and then doing some christmas shopping on Sunday. Can't wait!! I have not started any of my christmas shopping and I have no idea what to get anyone! I have never been this bad! Hopefully I can get a lot done this weekend though! We have all of our employee christmas parties next week. I can't believe how close christmas is!!!

Same 'ol

Nothing new and exciting to report this week. Except that it got freaking cold!!! But I am sure everyone knew that already.
The weather is really getting me excited for the cruise we are going on in January!! Don't know if I mentioned that or not. But the fam is all going on a cruise, for our christmas gift. It is going to the carribean, St. Marrtin, St. Thomas, Aruba, all those good places! I can't wait, cruises are definitely one of my favorite vacations. And I could definitely use a vacation! We leave Jan 4th from San Juan. I can't wait to lay by the pool and drink foofoo cocktails! :)

Still waiting for internet at my house. If anyone has ever been without it, you know how frustrating it is! Try not having it for a month!!

Survived

I made it through the holiday week, I was getting a little worried at certain times b/c I was really starting to wear down!
The party at the bar Wednesday nite was great! There were tons of ppl there you could hardly even move! We got to see all of our friends and everone had a great time.
Thanksgiving was good in Carrollton, not a lot of ppl were able to make it so it was a little more quiet then usual! :) Had a lot to get done at home so we weren't able to make it to Alton. But my mom's parents came up to Carrollton which was nice.

Friday was a very busy day at the Park Bench with lunch and shoppers, however, not so much at the bar. And Saturday was also a very good day for both.
Saturday nite was the big birthday party for me, since I turned 25 at midnite!! All of my friends came out and Jake was in town, I had a great time!! I definitely paid for it on Sunday though! My actual birthday was spent laying on the couch and catching a quick movie that nite. Four Christmases is very funny!

Time for the Holidays!

I have gotten a few of the things fixed at my house, Still waiting on internet though! Which partly explains my delay in posts. I decorated for xmas last nite and put my new trees up, so I am pretty excited about that. I have a lot of friends coming in town for Thanksgiving so there will hopefully be a lot of ppl stopping by to see my new house.
My grandparents and my cousin Beth and Mark were in town on Saturday. It was great to see them and exciting for them to get to see the Park Bench and the bar, and of course my new house! I think Ms Lily Muffins was excited to finally meet Beth too, who she hears so much about :)

Tomorrow is the big Thanksgiving party at the bar!! I think we have a guest list of around 100, so it should be exciting!! Can't wait to see all of my friends and then all of my family on Thursday!

Trouble on the Home Front

So of course, everything can't just be perfect when moving into a new house.
Problem #1 the water in my shower only seems to want to come out luke warm. Which in a way is a win lose situation. It causes me to take much faster showers, therefore getting ready faster in the morning. However, it puts me in a crabby mood!
#2 The drain in the shower is beyond clogged! By the time I am done with my quick shower, I am standing in 2-3 inches of water! Even though I have already poured a whole bottle of Drano down it.
#3 The phone jack in my living room is bad, therefore further delaying the hookup of my internet, that I have already been waiting 2 1/2 weeks for!

Luckily though, those are all just minor details. Except maybe the water thing, cold showers really, really suck!!
Hopefully I will have all these things fixed soon. I am going to buy a new TV today, I'm pretty excited. My old one has a built in VHS player, that just tells you how old it is. And it is like 2ft deep! I am hoping to get a nice flat screen.
I still plan on taking pics so I can show what the new place looks like. One of these days I will have time!! :)

Things have been busier than ever b/c I have taken on a new shift at the bar. I have been waitressing lunches, until we find someone to do it. Which I think we have, however, she doesn't start for 2 weeks!
This past weekend was crazy, I think it was one of our busiest yet. It is getting into that time of year where the weekends are going to start getting busier at the bar, which is good.
I am looking forward to Thanksgiving b/c we have planned a party for all of our friends the Wed. before at the bar. My mom is a little worried though. B/c between me, my brother and Carly we have invited over 200 ppl, and the bar just isn't that big!

Things have been going well, I have been trying to put some finishing touches on my new house, picking up things I need here and there. I love it!

It's Official!!

I am all moved into my new house!! YEAH! :)
I got moved in on Sunday and that was my first nite staying the nite there. It was a little different, considering I am not used to living by myself but I love it. My parents helped me move and my mom helped me decorate, it is really starting to look like home. My new couch got delivered yesterday, which filled the huge empty space in my living room, which really made things feel more cozy! Lily loves the new couch :) The only things left to do are pick up a few odds and ends and get the cable and internet hooked up, so I have something to do on those rare nites that I have off.
In other news, the Loft of Terror party at Steph and Will's was a blast! The costumes were great and we all had a little too much fun! (If that is even possible) Steph said that Kill Bill won the costume contest, but last I heard, she was the one to make that decision, while chasing Will around the stage! :) Oh well, at least we won, I think!
I have taken over my new position at the bar as bar manager, things are going well so far. And things at the Park Bench are still great. It will really start to pick up as we get into the holiday season!
Up next for me, I will be heading to Nashville in a couple weeks with Traci and her new husband, can't wait!! Never been there, heard it is great!

Moving up

I have a new house!!! I found a house to rent and I am totally excited!! Even better, it is going to be ready tomorrow!
Some family friends of ours have houses that they rent and one of them was available. It is an older one bedroom house, which is all that I need right now. And the best part is, they are letting me have the dog. It is pretty much impossible to find rental property that will let you have pets. It will also be nice to be renting from ppl that I know. The house is right across the street from a park which I am sure Ms. Lily Muffins will love.
I am just so excited to have my own place. It will really make things feel official. So far I have just continued to kind of feel like I was on an extremely extended visit home. But once I get my own place, and am able to get my things put away. Rather than having to dig through boxes when I need to find something, I think things are really going to fall into place.
Both jobs are still going really well and things are going great.

Can't wait to see everyone this weekend at the Halloween party!! :)

The Schmidt Fam

I love going to weddings on the Schmidt side of the family b/c they are drinkers and they love to have a good time. Plus there is like 100 of them!
This weekend was my cousin Ben's wedding, he is a couple years younger than I am. We had a great time. The kegs were gone before dinner was even served and I don't even know how many jello shots my aunt made. Needless to say, I was hurting this morning.

However, on the plus side, I didn't drive the car into a ditch like I did at the last family wedding in Carrollton! For those of you who don't remember, I was pulling out of the hotel parking lot, which for the record, had no lights or markers or anything! But I missed the road by like 2 inches and the passenger side of the car went in a ditch :) We tried to walk back to the reception before getting pulled over by a cop, who escorted us back to the reception! Luckily I didn't get in any trouble, from the cop at least.

Went to St. Louis to visit a friend today. Was going to go on to Eville but decided to come back home. Jake leaves tom. so I wanted to see him and I also wanted to start out the work week nice and rested.

Change of Plans

I was on my way to St. Louis Sunday afternoon when I suddenly decided why not just drive all the way to Little Rock? Jake is always giving me shit that I never come see him, so why not? So just like that, a 2 hour drive turned into 8! Yeah, I am crazy.
What really sucked is that I got about 5 minutes away from where I was supposed to meet Jake and I got stuck in stand still traffic for an hour!!! Are you kidding me! I don't know what ended up causing it. I figured it was a wreck, but when we finally got moving, there was nothing there, just a cop. Maybe the cleaned it all up before they let anyone go, I don't know.

It is definitely nice to have a couple of days off though! It worked out b/c Jake was coming home this weekend for a wedding so this way he can just drive back with me. And when I say drive, I mean just that, he can drive!! :)
Haven't done anything too exciting, he worked yesterday and I went to the store, considering I didn't come with any provisions. Lucky for me I have to live out of my car on the weekends, since I work so many different shifts. So my car pretty much looks like a closet!

This break was nice to have considering I have just become the bar manager at the bar, (the previous one quit). So along with handling the merchandise at the Park Bench, I am now in charge of the bar too! My days are only about to get busier! Can't wait!

What a Great Weekend!!

After getting past the long ass shift I had to work on Friday, and then getting up really early to work on Saturday, the rest of the weekend was great. Saturday nite was a blast. It was the first chance I have had to go out in Quincy and I had a lot of fun. It is impossible not to have a good time when Trudy is around!

Sunday I drove down to Grafton and went out on the boat with the guys, it was a beautiful day for it. The drive itself was awesome b/c all the leaves are changing, it was really pretty. After "boating", technically we just hung out at the dock, which is just as fun, we drove back to Eville and hung out. It was great to see everyone, and Halloween is only a few weeks away and I will be back down for Steph and Will's "Loft of Terror" party! Can't wait! I just hope Steph gets my costume all figured out...since she is the Halloween queen! :)

This weekend is the 150th anniversary of the Lincoln Douglas Debate, which took place here in Quincy. So they are having this huge thing all weekend celebrating it. They are predicting that there are going to be thousands of people here.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but does anyone else find it strange that thousands of ppl would travel to go to some event about something that you most likely slept through learning about in school??? Yeah, that's what I thought.

So, we are supposed to be super busy today at the Park Bench b/c the debate sight, and the location of all the events, is the park right across the street from us. So I should probably get to work.
Looking forward to tonite though b/c I have a bunch of friends in town, including Trudy!! So it should be a good time, b/c I actually have the nite off!!

Traci's Wedding

so I swear I am going to put pics up. I just didn't think it was going to be as much trouble as it is turning out to be. It is one thing to have to work on a computer that you are not used to, but when that computer is super old it makes things a little harder! I am having the worst time trying to get pics downloaded to the internet so that I can get them put on here! I can't get any of the applications to work. Then again, I could just be retarded :)

Things have been going well. I am trying to figure out what I want to do with my living situation. B/c I obviously don't want to stay living at my parents forever! I have been looking into renting an apartment or house but it makes it a little harder to do when you have a dog. The listings that don't say "no pets" are very slim!
There are a few really cute houses that are for sale and my parents had mentioned buying one and having me rent from them which, I thought, was a great idea. However, I am not sure what I want to do in the future and how long I want to stick around Quincy. But as for right now I am really enjoying it and I love working at my mom's place.
It would be nice to get into my own place soon though, I am kind of getting tired of climbing over a mound of boxes when I need to get something out of one of them!
I have also been finding great things in all the merchandise catalogs for my mom's store. I have my whole house decorated in my head already and it doesn't even exist yet! :)

Busy, Busy

It has been another busy weekend. Meaning that I worked a 15 hour shift yesterday (at both places) and I am getting ready to put in another approx. 14 tonite! It's good for me though! :) It feels good to be busy and have so much to do. All though I am starting to feel a little run down and the circles under my eyes are starting to show it.

I have plans to get some pics up soon. I am going to take pics of both the Park Bench and the bar so everyone who has never seen them can see what cool places they are!
I also have pics from Traci's wedding that I need to get up!

Where to Begin

There have been some major changes in my life lately and I am in the process of trying to get over that. That is why I am just trying to go into every new day with a totally positive outlook and trying to make the best of it.
Breaking up after a 4 year relationship was pretty devastating to me but I am a firm believer in the fact that everything happens for a reason. I think there are going to be a lot of great things in my future, the possibilities are endless.
One of the hardest parts of breaking up, after losing my boyfriend, was having to move away from all of my friends and the great family that I got to know so well. I miss you guys!!!

That is one of the main reasons I wanted to start another blog. (The other one just no longer seemed fitting) This is a great way to keep in touch with everyone and keep updated on what is going on in your lives as well. Plus I kind of got addicted to the whole blog thing! :)

Each day is getting better than the one before so that is why I am just going to start living my new life and loving it.
