Facebook Junkie

I really just don't get on here as much as I used to. I am going to have to agree with Jason, I am addicted to facebook. Me and like a million other ppl! I really just only get on here to check a couple other blogs. There are only on or two wortch checking anyomre! Finally saw something on here that I didn't really want to, so to avoid that, I am probably going to try and avoid blogger all together!

Long TIme, No Blog

WOW, I just realized the other day that I haven't blogged FOREVER!! Nor have I checked anyone else's! I guess I just kind of forgot about them! Things have been a little busy around here lately.
First of all, Vegas was AWESOME!! I had a great time, it was defititely as good as everyone said it would be. I don't think I need to go back any time soon though!
Other than that I have just been working. Except on Tuesday...
There is a bar here in Quincy that has an annual St. Patty's Day party and it is called 5:05. Yes, the bar opens at 5:05 am and it was packed! I had never heard of this and felt the need to see what it was all about! So I went before work and it was great. A little crazy to be drinking at 5 in the morning, but still fun :) I proceeded to go to work from 8-2, then continued to drink with some of my friends from 2-4, checking out 2 other Quincy bars that I had never been to. I then had to be back at work from 4-7. By 7 a bunch of my friends were at the bar and I felt the need to continue the celebration with them. By this time, my shirt wasn't the only thing that was green, my fingers were all dyed green from making green beer!
Unfortunately I continued to drink all nite. I can't say that this was one of my better judgement days, however, I had a great time. Thank god St. Patrick's Day is only once a year!

Off to Evill this weekend for Steph P and Pepper's birthdays!! Can't wait! :)

Weird

I watched Burn After Reading last nite, barely. It took everything I had to stay awake through the whole movie! It ended up being a very weird movie, but had some very funny parts, like Brad Pitt. But what else can you expect from the Coen bros?? Weird is what they do best.
I have 3 more to watch, not sure what I will choose tonite. Wanted, My Best Friend's Girl, or Lakeview Terrace. All of them look really good!

Oh and by the way, had a blast in Eville! The Jambalaya party was a success and everyone's food turned out great!

Eville!

I am once again headed to Edwardsville for a long weekend of booze, shots, dancing and hopefully some beer pong!
I am already dreading Monday morning!
Sunday Funday should be a good one though, we are having all the Mardi Gras essentials. Jumbalaya, cornbread, and I tried my first attempt at a King's Cake. Hopefully it is good. And I am also going to make some cajun stuffed jalapenos. And I am definitely going to get all the fixins for Hurricanes!

I had a date last nite. With a guy that I met at the bar. We went bowling and I had so much fun! As most of you know, I am not the best bowler! :) But I didn't do too bad! I actually kicked his ass in 2 out of 5 games, he got me on the other ones though! I won the important one though. We bet on the last game and I won, so he has to come in the bar and hang out with me on Monday. :) We will see how this goes, good I hope!

2 Weeks!!

Yes, the countdown is on! Only two more weeks and Dana and I will be on a plan to Vegas!! :) I can't wait, I have already started packing..in my head. We are only going to be there for 3 nites but I know I am going to pack enough clothes for 7! Oh well, you have to have choices!!

My goal this week is to make it back to the Y. Last week was just sooo busy and I took advantage of any free time to nap. Plus I didn't want to run myself down too much and get sick again. Especially since I had just gotten over it. If I work out a couple times, at least, I will be happy with that. I gave up on the whole "1/2 marathon" thing a long time ago. My schedule is just way too crazy to try and train for something like that. I would definitely like to do something though, now that I have been working out. I think I will have to start with a 5K or something a little smaller though! :)

I made it

Wow! What a long weekend, and it's not over yet! Not only ws one of our bartenders out of town, so I already had to work both nites. But, the other one ended up getting sick! So my dad ended up having to work both nites with me. Which actually worked out to my advantage, b/c I don't have to split my tips with him! :) So I had a good weekend in tips! Vegas is going to be fun!

This has actually been the first chance in the past 3 days that I have gotten to sit down at my house and relax. But I'm really not even doing that, I'm cleaning. When you only get to stop at home for an hour or so at a time the dishes and clothes tend to pile up! B/c that time is usually used to catch a quick nap or some food!

I just realized that I only have an hour and a half before I have to be back at the bar to train my friend to work Sunday nites, and I still have 1/2 the house to clean! The nice thing is, Sunday nites are super easy, so I will be sitting on the other side of the bar this time having a much deserved beer!

Well, I'm not sick anymore. Luckily it only lasted about a week, it helped that I actually got a chance to stay home and rest.
My schedule has gotten a little busier here in the past couple weeks. We let go of our daytime waitress/bartender so I have been picking up a lot of her shifts. I have gone back to being the daytime waitress, which I like a lot more the second time around! I have also picked up a couple more nite shifts. I don't think I am going to be getting out too much on the weekends anymore. But that is ok. It will save me money and keep me out of trouble! :) '
I do have next Saturday off and I taking advantage and roadtripping back down to Edwardsville. Was contemplating on going to Soulard for Mardi Gras, but decided against it. I know I will definitely have just as much fun in Eville!

So Sick!

I have got the worst cold!! I guess working an 80 hour week and then partying hard for two days isn't the brightest thing to do. I probably should have rested for those two days. But I can't pass up any chance I get to hang out with my Eville and STL friends!! :)
I have speant the last couple nights putting in some really good couch time and testing a few different cold medicines. One I have found to work pretty well is Theraflu, the kind you dissolve in water. Kinda hard to choke down but shows results!

To anyone else out there who is sick, I feel ya!

Great Weekend!

I made it home this morning after an exhuasting weekend! I was looking forward to my trip to Eville as a little mini vacay. However, I should have known better that is was just going to be two straight days of partying and drinking! :)
I had a blast though!! Saturday nite we partied at Jason's after he cooked us dinner. :) A nite of beer pong, jagers and dancing. It doesn't get much better than that!
We got an early start on Sunday then headed over to Steph and Will's. They through another great party with tons of good food. I think I consumed enough calories to last me all week! I couldn't tell you who won the game but we did kick some ass at rock band!
Getting up this morning to drive home was a little rough, but well worth it!

Super Bowl Sunday!

I am counting down the hours. I have to go to work then I am headed to Eville for a nite of drinks (a lot I am sure) and then Super BOwl at Steph and Will's tom.
I am a little concernced about the snow pics I saw on Steph's blog. I thought it was cold here!

Vegas Baby!!

I am finally going to make it out to Vegas for the first time! Sometimes I feel like I am the only person that has never been there!
I was supposed to be going in a couple weeks with my mom to go to the Las Vegas Merchandise Show. However, I have decided, instead, to go to the Nightclub and Bar Show! Which is a little more up my alley! :)
My friend Dana and I are going the first week of March for 4 days of booze and parties, I can't wait!! When you register for the show you get access to two different parties that they throw, plus you get passes to get into ALL the clubs and bars every nite!! What better way to spend your first time in Vegas then to get things for free, I know the cover charges for the clubs can be insane!

So begins the major saving that I am going to have to do so I have some money for the trip!! :)

Not much going on. Have to work all weekend, so nothing exciting. Looking forward to next weekend though! Saturday nite in Eville, then Steph and Will's infamous Superbowl party! :)

In other news, I am supposed to be training to run a half marathon with a bunch of girlfriends from college. I am a little nervous, considering I hate running!! I have started working out, which is a fantastic stress relieving alone. The good news is, I am in better shape then I thought, however, I am not sure if I will be ready to run 13.1 miles by April! We'll see!
One of the girls I work with is doing a biggest loser contest at our YMCA, so we kind of have eachother to motivate which is nice.

New Hours!

Today began the new hours at the Park Bench. Usually we stay open til 5 for shopping, but now that the holidays are over we really don't get that much business after lunch. SOOO we are now going to be closing at 3. It is awesome! It was so nice to get off work early and have time to get things done while it was still light out! :)

As for the new pup, she already got in trouble last nite!! She just so happened to find this nice air force book that my mom has been searching every where for, and finally just got, and chewed the corner off.... Yeah, mom wasn't too happy. The funny thing is, is that their other beagle did the exact same thing! :)

This weekend some friends of mine from high school got married. They were high school sweethearts, and I am so happy for them! The wedding was so much fun and it was so fun to have everyone from high school together!
I got some great pics but I am really pissed b/c I lost the cord for my camera in the move. So I am unable to download my pictures to the computer. I need to figure out where to get a new one!

My mom finally got her new puppy today!! She is so excited. They went down to Carrollton today and got little miss Daisy Duke from my cousins house. She was one of 9 beagle puppies. We have seen them all a couple times, and she was finally old enough for my mom to take home. I went over to see her and she is adorable!! I am anxious to see how Lily reacts to her, should be interesting!

it's been awhile!

First of all, the internet at my house STILL doesn't work!! What the hell! I don't know what the deal is! It worked when they hooked it up, but the next day I had nothin! So that is one reason for my lack of posting!

The other is b/c we just got back yesterday from our week long cruise to the Caribbean!! It was awesome! We had a blast! We met a bunch of cool ppl that were from Jersey to Puerto Rico to Canada, all of which I hope to stay in touch with. I also managed to get a really good tan! Which, most of you know, is really hard for me to do! :)
We didn't do anything overly exciting. Just a little shopping on the islands and a lot of laying out and boozing. We went to the Senor Frogs where Natalie Halloway was last seen. Not neccesarily a tourist attraction, I know, but it was kind of wierd!
I will hopefully get some pics posted soon.

Gotta run, thought things would slow down after the holidays, but now we have to completely re-decorate the Park Bench, and take all the Christmas stuff down!
